BCIMS was set
up in the year 2001 by Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak
Trust Society with a commitment to providing world-class healthcare
services and facilities at an affordable cost to the people
of Delhi and adjoining areas. Entire Institute functions in
a centrally air conditioned building.
The Institute initially started, as an Eye Institute in 1995,
today stands diversified with a highly advanced multi-specialty
diagnostic and research centre to provide the most modern comprehensive
health care services. The Institute believes in providing the
concept of ‘Total Health’ to its valued clients.

Management of BCIMS
The Institute is managed by the following experience set
of people:
Medical Director
 Dr.
Y. P. Munjal, MD, FRCP (E), FACP, MAMS, FICP, FIACM, FIAMS,
FIMSA is the Medical Director of BCIMS for last three years.
He has established the ‘Centre for Diabetes & Lifestyle
Diseases’ a state of the art Centre that is one of its
kind in Northern India and he is the Head of this Department.
Dr. Munjal has switched his interest and is involved in evolving
the role of medical fraternity in prevention of lifestyle
diseases.
Dr. Munjal had handled many administrative & clinical
assignments for the past over 30 years. He served as Head
of Department, St. Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi and was
instrumental in establishing the Coronary Care Unit in this
Institute.
He was Medical Superintendent and Head, Department of Medicine,
Jessa Ram Hospital, New Delhi a 100 bedded hospital for about
20 years and subsequently joined as Medical Director, Jaipur
Golden Hospital, Delhi before joining his present
Medical Superintendent
 Dr
R K Singal, MD, FICP, FIAMS is working as Medical Superintendent
of BCIMS for the last three years. After completing his MD
(Medicine) from Medical College, Rohtak (Haryana), Dr Singal
firstly worked in St Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi as Sr.
Resident and then as Jr.Consultant Medicine till Dec 1985.
After this, he joined Jessa Ram Hospital, New Delhi as Consultant
Internal Medicine.
Dr Singal has delivered many lectures in various CMEs and
contributed more than 60 articles in various publications.
He edited ‘Emergency Medicine 2005’ published
by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers and ‘Medicine
Update 2007’ published by Association of Physicians
of India. He is associated with Editorial Board of Journal
of Association of Physicians of India, Journal of Indian Association
of Clinical Medicine and Journal of Hypertension Society of
India as advisor. He is presently President Association of
Physicians of India, an all India body of Internists with
more than 13000 members all over the country.
Chief Administrative Officer
 Air
Marshal (Dr) P C Sharda is the Chief Administrative Officer
(CAO), who is MBBS, Diploma in Aviation Medicine, MHA. He
is having 36 yrs of service in Indian Air force as an aviation
medicine specialist and administrator leading to the post
of Director General of medical services IAF. He has been awarded
Ati Vishist Sewa Medal by President of India for distinguished
service rendered. He is working here as CAO since July 1997.
Assistant Medical Superintendent
 Dr
Yogendra Tomar, MBBS, MBA (Hospital Management) is the Assistant
Medical Superintendent, BCIMS. He has six years of working
experience and has worked at L.L.R.M. Medical College Meerut,
Metro Heart Institute, Meerut, Moolchand Hospital, New Delhi
and Max Balaji Hospital, Delhi. He took over his present assignment
on 1st April 2006.
Public Relations Officer
Shri Virender Kumar is the Public Relations Officer of the
Institute.
